Overview and what’s new
As the company’s most expensive and the largest pure electric crossover SUV, the 2023 Tesla Model X still offers more than a 340-mile driving range and roomy for 7 passengers. It offers the strong performance and cachet that comes with the Tesla brand name, but the gimmicks aren’t that compelling these days. The luxury crossover segment has expanded and now includes better options. The performance-oriented X Plaid model, which produces 1020 hp, is more expensive but offers excellent acceleration and driving range. But don’t expect an ultra-luxury interior.
A new key card comes with the 2023 Model X. If you want the old-fashioned car-shaped key fob, it can be added as an option. The yoke-styling steering wheel is standard, and a regular steering wheel is available as a no-cost option. Tesla says there is also a $700 retrofit for current owners. The 2023 Tesla Model X offers a pricey $3000 Ultra Red Paint option, which replaces the previous $2000 red paint. Apart from that, the Model X will arrive in 2023 without any changes.
How about the 2023 Tesla Model X’s overall design?

When it comes to the front design, no changes have been made to the aggressive exterior design, metal-sheet stylings, and aerodynamic body. It gets the same front design as the previous model and includes the same features. It gets the same headlights, LED signature lights [daytime running lights], LED fog lights, and top-stripe and lower grille designs. Also, there have been no changes in the reader sensor (if equipped) in the middle of the front that has hidden from the view, the autopilot camera positioned on the top-middle of the windshield, the front left tow eye cover, etc.

When viewed from the side, it gets the same autopilot cameras, door handles, and charging port positioned at the same location. The Model X gets completely different but intelligent front conventional doors and rear Complicated Falcon wing doors whichModel Ydoesn’t get. Since the new Tesla Model X comes with a key card, a key card reader sensor is positioned on the driver’s side door pillar. When focusing on Model X’s aggressive alloy wheels, the Base model comes with 22-inch wheels. The X Plaid model, on the other hand, is standard with the 20-inch Cyberstream wheels.

When it comes to the rear design, no changes have been made to the Model X’s rear appearance, as mentioned before. It gets the same-rear design, LED Sequential taillights, rear-view camera, right-lower edge tow hitch cover, ultrasonic sensors, and the same-stripe-type carbon fiber rear spoiler. Tesla says the carbon-fiber rear spoiler fixed on the trunk lid helps for better road stability when you fly at high speed.
How about the 2023 Tesla Model X’s interior design and features?

When it comes to interior design and features, the almost completely-buttonless interior is Tesla’s tradition. It’s no different for the 2023 Tesla Model X, and everything is controlled via a large-left-right tilt 17-inch infotainment display with 2200×1300 resolution centrally positioned on the simple dashboard. Also, Model X offers a small 8-inch rear touch screen which rear passengers allow access to temperature, power, rear fan, seat heaters, media, video, audio, and volume. Tesla says that the yoke-style steering wheel provides unique and easier handling. But it goes beyond the circle-traditional steering wheel, and would be difficult if you can’t get used to it. If so, you can opt for a regular steering wheel at no cost.

Also, the glass roof with UV protection is special and allows you to see what’s ahead and above. There is a secondary digital display as a gauge cluster directly in front of the driver. Tesla’s infotainment system is certainly-advanced and quality but doesn’t feature Apple CarPlay or Android Auto functions. The 17-inch touchscreen provides entertainment functions such as YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, video games, and more to pass the time while waiting for the battery to charge. The Model X’s third-row seats are optional and can be opted for Bench or Monopost seats.
Both Model X Base and Plaid offer 88 cu-ft cargo capacity and a 22-speaker, 960-watt audio system with active road noise reduction. It features tri-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic glass roof, Bluetooth connectivity for multiple devices, a navigation system, wireless charging pads, etc. It also includes standard Tesla Model X safety equipment like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with emergency-automatic braking, lane keeping system, and blind-spot monitoring.
Battery, e-motors, performance, driving range, and MPGe

Sources reported that the 2023 Tesla Model X’s handling is respectable, and its side trick is the powerful acceleration generated by its electric motors. It comes with two trim levels. The all-wheel drive dual-motor Base model offers an attractive 348-mile driving range, while the X Plaid model, on the other hand, offers a 333-mile driving range. Charging is quick by Tesla superchargers nationwide. Charging at home through a 240V or 120V connection will be slower but will definitely be easier. As mentioned by Tesla, the Base model takes 3.8 seconds to hit 0-60 mph, and the tri-motor Plaid model takes just 2.5 seconds.
They have further stated the Base model has a top speed of 155 mph, and the Performance model boasts a 163 mph of top speed. The 2023 Tesla Model X Base model, which produces 670 hp, has an estimated fuel economy rating of 107 MPGe in the city, 97 MPGe on the highway, and 102 MPGe combined. The Plaid model produces 1020 hp and has an estimated fuel economy rating of 103 MPGe in the city, 93 MPGe on the highway, and 98 MPGe combined.
