Overview and what’s new
As the company’s best-selling and the most popular pure electric crossover SUV, the 2023 Tesla Model Y still offers a 300-mile driving range and roomy for 7 passengers. Although more popular among buyers than theTesla Model 3,the 2023 Model Y is a less satisfying offering because the electric crossover feels clumsy on a twisty road and offers a relatively less driving range. Like the Model 3, its interior is also made of low-quality materials. As a three-row offering, all the Model Y’s controls are linked via a large-infotainment system.
A Base Model with a range of 279-mile driving range arrives in 2023. Apart from that, Model Y will come in 2023 without any changes. But upcoming changes can be seen later this year as the company adds changes during the flight period.
How about the 2023 Tesla Model Y’s overall design?
When it comes to the front design, no changes have been made to the exterior design, metal-sheet stylings, and aerodynamic body. Also, there have been no changes in the reader sensor (if equipped) in the middle of the front that has hidden from the view, front-left tow eye cover, etc. Model Y is offered in five exterior colors, three of which cost extra.
When viewed from the side, it gets the same autopilot cameras, door handles, key card sensor, and charging port positioned at the same location. When focusing on wheels, the Long Range model comes with 19-inch wheels, and you will cost an extra $2000 when opting for 20-inch wheels. While the Performance model, on the other hand, is standard with the 21-inch Uberturbine wheels.
When it comes to the rear design, no changes have been made to the rear appearance, as mentioned before. It features the same-rear design, OLED SEQUENTIAL taillights, rear-view camera, right-lower edge tow eye cover, and the same-stripe-type carbon fiber rear spoiler. Tesla says the carbon-fiber rear spoiler fixed on the trunk lid helps for better road stability when you fly at high speed.
