Ford unveiled the all-new 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse on September 14, 2022, at the Detroit Auto show. The 2024 Dark Horse Mustang is a brand-new layout for the Mustang chronicle and is the beginning of a 7th generation. So let’s discuss what the 2024 Mustang Dark Horse is, its powertrain, performance, overall 360-degree design, interior, price, and other details on the new badass pony car.
What the hell is this 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse?
The 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse is the most powerful, street-legal track-focused, non-Shelby Mustang Ford ever built. It’s really crazy. Keep reading! It is equipped with the most powerful performance-upgraded Coyote V8 engine Ford ever introduced and produces 500 hp. And also, the 2024 Mustang Dark Horse is the street-legal version of thenon-street-legal Mustang Dark Horse S and Dark Horse R.Best of all, it’s still powered by a petrol-flavored Coyote V8 engine with a manual transmission.
There is a pretty-special feature. This is the first time Ford has offered exotic Rims for a non-Shelby Mustang. Comes with an exclusive design, the new Dark Horse Mustang offers a handling package, which includes Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS, Stiffer springs, a Thicker front, Rear sway bars, and a rear wing with a Gurney flap for more downforce. Even without the package, Standard wheels and Brembo 6-piston brakes will provide you with a dark horse ride.
How about the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse’s overall design?
When it comes to the front design, it was based on the regular 2024 Mustang GT but gets a different front-end design. That is enough to distinguish a Dark Horse Mustang from a regular Mustang GT. It gets all-new tri-bar LED headlights, the first eye-catching feature at the front end. The front grill is based on the regular GT, and the grill pods aren’t missing. The redesigned low grill and the front spoiler give it a track-ready look.
Compared to the regular GT model, the2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horsetakes a step forward with a larger front grill and open nostrils for better cooling. The other thing it differs from the regular GT is the front grill and headlights are designed in a dark strip bordered by the color of the car. Dark Horse Mustang can be identified by its Blue Ember paint. But in the face of other colorings, it will not be difficult to find its identity through the Dark Horse graphics on the bonnet, front design, and Dark Horse logo.
When viewed from the side, the “Dark Horse logo” positioned at the side-front end represents the latest brand name of the 7th generation. And also, its aggressive Fastback shape including carbon fiber side skirts and metal-sheet stying enhances its side profile. The next-exclusive feature is alloy wheels. This is the first time Ford has offered exotic Rims for a non-Shelby Mustang.
Ford offers lightweight carbon fiber wheels with an exclusive design, and Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires with the new Dark Horse Mustang. It gets 19-inches wheels. The standard front Rim is 9.5-inches wide, and the rear is 10.0-inches wide. But the optional handling package increases the width of the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires to 10.5-inch at the front and 11.0-inch at the rear.
When it comes to the rear design, Dark Horse gets the same 2024 Mustang rear end. The angularly-designed 7th gen Mustang’s taillight enhances its rear profile and promotes a unique attitude. However, the angular-top-rear design managed to create a conversation among many people. Anyway, the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse gets a permanently fixed new carbon fiber rear wing with an exclusive design.
A rear wing with a Gurney flap for more downforce is available for the 2024 Mustang Dark Horse with the Handling Package. The rear bumper also includes a prominent diffuser and quad-tipped tailpipes. The overall new design, exterior metal-sheet stylings, and other features help with better road stability and better handling.
When it comes to the interior design, it gets the same 2024 Mustang interior design. It includes a 12.4-inches digital measurement cluster and a 13.2-inches multimedia touchscreen. It includes a redesigned Sync 4 interface for the Mustang that accepts over-the-air updates. Ford offers a new appearance package with Dark Horse mustang which includes Deep Indigo blue seats with special holes. Ford says-“the flat-bottomed steering wheel will give you a race car-inspired control on the road as well as the track.”
