Overview
The new generation’s 2024 Toyota Tacoma comes armed with weapons to compete side-by-side with Jeep Wrangler and Ford Raptor. Its modern body style and new features are sure to excite Tacoma enthusiasts. The Tacoma lineup is diverse, with eight trim levels confusing buyers. A turbocharged 4-cylinder heart with varying output levels brings the Tacoma to life. The most powerful of the lineup is the i-Force MAX Hybrid system, which produces a net 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque at 1700 rpm.
The i-Force MAX Hybrid technology is standard with top-trim levels like TrailHunter, Off-roader, and TRD Pro. Tacoma depends on both single and double cab and also promotes coil springs as well as leaf springs.

What’s new?
So what’s new for 2024? The 2024 Toyota Tacoma has been completely redesigned for the new year and inherits a variant of the body-on-frame TNGA-F platform to achieve superior handling, performance, and a sexy finish. For 2024, a new model of Taco is coming to the scene called TrailHunter. So let’s talk about all-new 2024 Toyota Tacoma, which marks the fourth generation of the mid-size pickup truck.
How about the 2024 Toyota Tacoma’s overall design?

When it comes to front design, the main feature that catches the eye as soon as you see it is the most sexy exterior design. Unlike the previous Taco, the 2024 version carries many new features. The impressive fourth-generation grille design makes the front appearance self-sufficient, while the LED headlights with Signature DRL sit at the same level as the grille. Below that is the front bumper integrated with the diffuser, and the fog lights aren’t missing as an essential feature of the Taco. TOYOTA lettering is available only for TRD Pro and TrailHunter. Other models get the regular Toyota logo.
The TRD Pro and the TrailHunter come with a high-clearance front bumper, while other models, including the Limited, come with a low-clearance front bumper. You don’t have to go out of your way to modify the new Taco, and the fender flares and hood scoops on the bonnet promote a rugged look. Also, the front design is enriched with an integrated light bar and two Rigid off-road lights.

When viewed from the side, the new generation’s side appearance will lift you up. Also, the wide-protruding arches provide shade for the large wheels. Other than the TRD PreHunter, the others come with two doors and a 5ft or 6ft bed. And ARB Sport Bar is also available. Although Toyota has not released many details, the Limited model comes with 18-inch chrome-finished alloy wheels and exterior accents. On the other hand, the SR5 and SR models get 17-inch TRD alloy wheels.

When it comes to the rear design, the aggressive rear design of the new generation is magnificent, and the modern LED taillight design promotes each other. Also, features such as bed scene lightning, a 2400-watt power inverter, power up/down tailgate, and ARB steel rear bumper with recovery hooks aren’t missing as important components. The Taco comes with an ARB Tow Hook, and for better off-road, the TailHunter and TRDPro come with a unique exhaust system that juts out from the left rear and is positioned higher than the rest. A push button on the side of the taillight can be used to open and close the power tailgate.
Like its predecessor, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma is offered in both Extended-cab (called Xtra cab) and Crew-cab (called Double cab) body styles. The xtra cab is only offered with a 6-ft cargo bed, but the double cab, on the other hand, is available with a long box or a short 5-ft bed. Also, the rear bed features movable rails for tie-down. Although Toyota hasn’t provided many details, the overall design, capabilities, and features help with better stability, control, and minimal body-rolling.
How about the 2024 Toyota Tacoma’s Interior environment, Infotainment, Comfort, Seating capacity, and Cargo?

When it comes to the interior, the 2024 Taco isn’t fully digital but gets an interior environment with switches and knobs. It also promotes the interior of the new-generation Taco with quality ingredients between design and packaging. Most Taco models feature a 7.5-inch digital gauge cluster, while TRD Offroad model and the above trim levels get a fully 13-inch digital unit. A head-up display is standard on Limited and above models, and those also promote heated and cooled front seats.
An 8.0-inch touchscreen is the standard infotainment system in most Tacomas. On the other hand, the Limited, TrailHunter, and TRD Pro are offered with a 14-inch infotainment display. All models are equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. A JBL audio system that includes a detachable Bluetooth speaker on the top of the dashboard and a wireless charging pad is optional.

Special mention should be made of seats. TRD Pro offers IsoDynamic seats with an air-oil system designed to better control body movement on uneven surfaces. The driver benefits from a raised seating position with added headroom, equal to all models. A more adjustable steering column makes the pickup truck more comfortable for more people.
How about the 2024 Toyota Tacoma’s Engine, Transmission, and Performance?

A turbocharged 2.4L 4-cylinder engine powers all Tacos. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is offered in rear-wheel drive as well as four-wheel drive layouts in myriad forms and pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission or 6-speed manual transmission. The entry-level SR model is powered by a 228hp 2.4L 4-cylinder engine while the rest of the lineup gets further upgrades with the i-Force technology and 2.4L 4-cylinder engine which produces 278hp and 317lb-ft of torque.
The higher trim levels equipped with i-Force max technology handle 332 horses and 465 pound-feet of torque and promote a hybrid setup with an electric motor and a small nickel-metal hydride battery between the engine and transmission. All Tacomas feature a body-on-frame structure and come with a two-way suspension. The SR, SR5 Extended cab, and TRD PreRunner use old-school leaf springs, while the others use coil springs that offer a more premium and comfortable ride.

From ancestors to the new generation, the Tacoma has been trained to take mud baths, so even the road-focused models have the wherewithal to go almost anywhere. The TrailHunter and TRD Pro have upgraded underbody protection and are bolstered with Knobby 33-inch Goodyear Territory R/T tires and some unique suspension components. The latter includes a standard disconnecting front anti-roll bar and unique 2.5-inch dampers with remote reservoirs. Maximum towing ratings and payload capacities for all Taco models haven’t been released. But the automatic-equipped i-Force powertrain is capable of towing up to 6,500 pounds. The Hybrid i-Force MAX is equipped with a towing capacity of up to 6,000 pounds and can carry a payload of up to 1,709 pounds.
